Spring and Summer Holidays in the Pyrenees
Once the snow has retreated to the highest peaks, it leaves behind a carpet of spring flowers that is a pleasure to explore on foot and by bike. The terrain is criss-crossed with narrow paths traversing the mountainsides, that give us unprecedented views of the peaks surrounding us, and are blissfully under used.
Marmot Tours starts their season with Spring Walking and Mountain Biking holidays, then offering you some fabulous Road Cycling Holidays as the snow disappears off the cols and allows us to follow in the footsteps of the pro cyclists that pass this way yearly during the Tour de France. When it is too hot in the Pyrenean valleys, we head to the peaks for some High Level Walking Holidays, and to the Alps for some more road biking. September sees us continue with our Cycling holidays on our doorstep in the Pyrenees, plus enjoying on foot the stunning Autumn colours that are just creeping onto the landscapes.
Winter Holidays in the Pyrenees
The Pyrenean winters are fantastic. Due to the altitude we have a reliable snowfall while the proximity to the Mediterranean bathes us in sunshine. Sun and snow - the perfect recipe for a great winter holiday.
Our winter holidays are in cross country skiing and snowshoeing, in which Marmot Tours and staff have over 10 years experience in organizing and running.
We have tried to suit most peoples needs by offering a variety of trips of different lengths: we know that some people have only limited annual leave, or have their main holiday in the summer, so if that is you, check out our minibreaks.
