Snowshoeing trips selling out fast.
As a result of my slide show tour of the UK my snowshoeing trips are selling out fast. If you are considering booking, then please do so soon to avoid disappointment. Snowshoeing is a fun and easy way to enjoy the winter landscape and is suitable for anyone who likes walking. There are 3 trips on offer: Snowshoe weekends, Snowshoe week and Snowshoe Expedition. Please see http://www.marmot-tours.co.uk/summaries/winter.htm for more info.

New Years eve party in the Pyrenees.
To kick of this winters trips I am running a cross-country ski weekend over the New Year break. This Trip is suitable for beginners and improvers, as long as you are up for a laugh and a party! You get two full days of slipping about on the slopes before a New Years Eve bash to remember. The French do things very differently to us in the UK. They start the meal at about 9pm and the last of 8 fantastic courses normally gets served up at about 3am!!! Not even the French can eat for 6 straight hours, so the courses are generally punctuated with singing, dancing and frivolity. If this does not sound good enough - then how about if I told you that the party will be held high in the mountains in the (heated) restaurant of the cross-country ski station. I feel that a 1am ski will be in order! More info on http://www.marmot-tours.co.uk/summaries/xfw.htm

Do you have a non-skiing partner?
If you love downhill skiing but your partner doesn't then I have the perfect solution! My snowshoeing week in Ax are suitable / perfect for a skiing partner. Ax-Les-Thermes is the perfect base for both downhill skiing and snowshoeing. There is cable car leaving Ax, which goes up to the large and interesting ski resort of Ax-Bonascre. There is more than enough skiing here to keep you amused for a week. However, we will make the most of the minibus and visit some other smaller, prettier resorts as well as a day in Andorra. This ties in perfectly with the snowshoeing as we drive on a bit further and enjoy a peaceful walk with stunning mountain views. At the end of the day we meet back together for a bit of "après activity" and it is the perfect winter holiday. All the details are the same as for the snowshoeing trip except I will refund you 20 Euros per day that you do not come snowshoeing (the cost of a lift pass!). More info can be found on http://www.marmot-tours.co.uk/summaries/sfa.htm

The Ariegeoise - Road biking event.
Officially it's not a race, but people like to get to the front of the field if they can! It's an event for anyone who likes road biking as there are 3 different categories - depending on how much punishment you want to put your body through. Next June I am running a special trip including 4 days of training on some of the Passes used during the Tour de France. See http://www.marmot-tours.co.uk/summaries/rfa.htm for more info

MTB weekends get thumbs up.
The riding has been described as "the best bits of cross-country riding that go on all day!" Read what a journalist said about it on http://www.marmot-tours.co.uk/articles/index.htm

Got 6 Mates? Then get a bargain!
If you can fill one of my trips then I will give you and your mates a 15% discount on the cost of the holiday - well worth putting an add in the lonely hearts column for!! As most of my groups are limited to 6 or 8 people this should not be too hard. I can arrange any activity, or mix of activities, either weekends or weeklong trips. For a Group booking my dates are totally flexible. Please contact me if you are interested.

Fancy Christmas in the Pyrenees?
Downhill skiing / cross-country skiing / snowshoeing or a mix of all 3! If you have a group of mates who want a Christmas break with a difference the please get in contact - I will be happy to sort everything out for you!

Thank you to the eighty of you who have traveled / enjoyed on one of my trips so far

That is about it for the moment.

Cheers

James
