Watch the Tour de France in 2006.
The good people at the Tour de France have just published
next years route. With Armstrong out of the way, we can expect
the most exciting race in years, as the riders jostle for
the yellow jersey. Being by the roadside to watch a mountain
stage is something that any biking enthusiast should do at
least once. Combine that with watching a stage start and 6
days of World Class Mountain biking and we have a fantastic
week's holiday! Places are limited, so please don't delay
in booking this trip. More information can be found on http://www.marmot-tours.co.uk/summaries/mft.htm
White Christmas.
Nothing beats mucking about in the snow on Christmas day -
generally a thing of the past in the UK. If you fancy a crimbo
to remember, why not head out to the Pyrenees for a week of
cross-country skiing? This fantastic sport is suitable for
everyone and the flexible nature of this holiday means you
can ski as much or as little as you like. The trip is from
Fri 23rd to Fri 30th Dec. More info on http://www.marmot-tours.co.uk/summaries/excex.htm
New Years Eve with a difference.
If you have a group of mates and are looking for a tailor-made
mini-break to celebrate the New-Year, please get in touch.
I can sort out any length of holiday, for any number of people,
staying in self-catering accommodation, a gite or hotel. Activities
could include; snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, downhill
skiing, snowboarding, dog sledding, night-time torch lit snowshoe
walk to a refuge for dinner, skidoo safari
. basically
anything on snow. Time is running out, so if you are interested,
please get in contact as soon as possible.
Marmot-Tours biking tops now available.
So many of you have badgered me to make some quality biking
tops, that I have finally given in! I have to say that I am
delighted with the result. The Jerseys are made from 'Coolmax'
wicking material with 3 rear pockets and a full-length zipper.
Although designed for biking, they are also suitable for walking,
running, cross-country skiing or for just wearing down the
gym. They are available in 3 sizes: small, medium and large.
They can be purchased for 50 Euros during your trip, or £42
including package and postage within the UK. For more info
see http://www.marmot-tours.co.uk/about/jersey.htm
Record-breaking snowfall during the
winter of 2005.
The valley of Ax has just been declared the snowiest place
in France during 2005! Over the 6-month winter, 10.5 meters
of the white fluffy stuff fell on the slopes of the downhill
ski station. Come and join in the fun this winter. For information
on all the trips that I am running this winter please look
at http://www.marmot-tours.co.uk/summaries/winter.htm
Easter Special - mix of gentle walking
and snowshoeing.
I have had a lot of interest from people who want to try snowshoeing,
but don't want to commit to a full week of one activity. Consequently,
this year, I am running a special trip incorporating gentle
walking and snowshoeing over the Easter holiday. The trip
is from Wednesday 12th to Wednesday 19th April so covers 2
bank holidays. Flights this far in advance can be picked up
very cheaply, so don't delay. The trip will cost £465
with the same inclusions as my standard snowshoeing trip -
