Flight discounts: book before midnight on Tuesday 21st February!
Easyjet are offering up to 50% off all flights until the end of May, if booked before Tuesday 21st Feb (this Tuesday). Make the most of this madness and escape the UK for a winter or spring holiday. Unfortunately most of my holidays are full for this period, but there are still a few places left on the following:
Cross-country skiing in the Pyrenees, 12th to 19th March. Gatwick to Toulouse, flight price £101.71.
Snowshoeing in the Pyrenees, 19th to 26th March. Gatwick to Toulouse, flight price £43.71.
Atlantic to Mediterranean, 4th to 13th May. Gatwick to Toulouse, flight price £34.71.
Walking in the Pyrenees, 21st to 28th May. Gatwick to Toulouse, flight price £59.71.

Atlantic to Mediterranean - a cycling tour of the wine regions of Southern France.
If you like French culture, fine wine, good food, changing scenery, medieval castles…. and cycling (I suppose I should add that) then this is the spring holiday for you. This 10 day gentle cycling tour bisects the best of rural France on a network of quiet lanes and canal towpaths. En route we stay in comfortable accommodation… want to hear more, then check out http://www.marmot-tours.co.uk/summaries/rfc.htm. The 4th to 13th May departure has only 3 places left and costs £645 GBP with flights available from £34.71 return.

The Spring Flowers of the Pyrenees - new walking tour.
The Pyrenees is often referred to as the flower garden of Europe. Any botanist or flower lover finding themselves in the Valley of Ax at the end of May would find it hard to dispute this statement. This year I have put together a special gentle walking trip to make the most of this natural spectacle. To help us with the identification, I joined forces with Graham Hart, a locally living, English speaking, botanist and butterfly expert who will help us with the identification on a couple of days. The trip is from the 21st to 28th May. More information can be found on http://www.marmot-tours.co.uk/summaries/wfa.htm.

Bikes on Flights - panic over.
A couple of weeks ago Easyjet caused a bit of a stir in the biking world by announcing that they were no longer going to take bikes with hydraulic fluid in their brakes or suspension. Along with all the other MTB holiday operators I kicked up a fuss. Easyjet have since sheepishly announced that there was a mistake and someone in their organization had taken new 'dangerous substances on airlines' regulation at bit too far!

New faces needed for biking weekends.
My long weekend of mountain biking has been hailed as the best short blast of fun possible on a mountain bike. All my planned dates for 2006 have already filled out with repeat bookers, so I have added a few additional dates with the hope of getting some new faces. Mind you with over 7000 meters of swooping single-track descents in stunning scenery it is easy to see why people keep coming back, and I'm not complaining! More info on http://www.marmot-tours.co.uk/summaries/mfw.htm

Cross-country skiing - what is it really all about?
The average Brit has not got a clue what cross-country skiing is or why anyone would want to do it! My girlfriend Cathy, who has just moved out to be with me in the Pyrenees, has really taken to the sport this winter. She has written a short article with the intention of unraveling a few of these mysteries and hopefully inspiring a few more of you to give it a go. Check out http://www.marmot-tours.co.uk/articles/x-country_cathy.htm. Thanks to everyone that has been out on a trip so far this winter - it has been a lot of fun.

Peak bagging - bag your place soon.
This year my Peak bagging in the Pyrenees trip is being sold through Exodus and my Pyrenean refuge treks are being sold through Waymark. I am please to say that they have been very well received and most of the trips are now confirmed. If you want to join one of these trips, please book soon to avoid disappointment. They are both amazing itineraries taking us up some pointy peaks with sections of exciting scrambling.
