When James Thompson set up Marmot Tours Ltd in 2003, he scoured the French Countryside looking for a suitable location that would give an opportunity for clients to experience the best of their chosen activity, in the heart of French mountain scenery.  After searching through much of Central and Southern  France, he discovered the Ariege, in the Midi Pyrenees.  He felt it had everything to offer for both his own personal lifestyle, and activities and interest for his clients. Our centre based trips are located around the spa resort of Ax les Thermes, nestled into the valley of Ax at 720m.  Ax is a lovely town with plenty to offer the visitor.
