| These photographs were taken on the Marmot Tours Ltd
'Peaks and ridges refuge based expedition'. During this holiday we
base ourselves in two comfortable mountain refuges with hot
showers and explore the surrounding peaks and ridges without
the burden of a heavy backpack. There are 4.5 days of
'backpacking' and 3.5 days with light 'day' sacks. The peaks
all involve some level of scrambling and we encounter scree
slopes, boulder fields and narrow ridges during the weeks
holiday. This week long Holiday is based in the mountains of
Ariege in the French Pyrenees. The photographs above are displayed
