This photograph was taken on the Marmot Tours Ltd 'Nordic
Highlights of the Pyrenees holiday'. During this holiday we
tour 5 of the best XC ski stations in the French Pyrenees,
opening up 360km of prepared tracks (loipes). During the week
holiday we stay in two different hotels, one in the spar town
of Ax-les Thermes and the other in the cosmopolitan resort of
Font Romeau. Each day our private transport takes us to
the X-C ski area. During the weeklong cross-country skiing
holiday we ski at Chioula, Beille, Capcir, Font Romeau and
Pyrenees 2000. This holiday is aimed at skiers who know
how to ski and want to travel some distance on prepared
trails. Quality ski equipment (NNN) can be hired locally for both
the classic cross-country skiing and skating (alternative) cross country skiing
techniques.
