The Terminus is a long established, family run, 2 star hotel with an excellent reputation for hospitality and fine regional cooking. It is perfectly located opposite the railway station and is 5 mins walk from the centre of Ax-les-Thermes, with its local amenities. All the rooms have en-suite facilities and overlook the river Ariege, ensuring a peaceful night sleep. Proprieters, Alain and Elizabeth are very proud of their spacious and tastefully decorated restaurant. They serve generous portions of traditional local dishes, which include fresh river trout, steak and frites, French onion soup, Cassoulet de la maison and Tarte Tatin. Vegetarians will be well catered for. When possible they buy their meats direct from the local farmers, ensuring fresh produce which is also beneficial to the local economy. The house wine (red, white and rose) is organic. The Hotel Bar is always open and serves a welcoming and highly recommended 'Vin Chaud' - perfect after a day of activity. In the summer the terrace and garden are perfectly situated to lap up a few of the sun's rays. Free WIFI internet connection is available in the Hotel but you will need your own computer.
